Uniqlo opens on 19 October, its first store in Brussels. The Japanese retailer is launching a campaign with local people on the occasion of the shop’s opening. Among others, dj Lefto, and CHYL-she Nancy Eissaoui tell in a video about their personal style and love for their city.
“The launch of Uniqlo in the Belgian capital, is an important milestone for us. Brussels is an open-minded city that can be proud of the diversity of its society. People in Brussels can be himself and that appreciates UNIQLO enormous. The unique character of the city also served as the inspiration for the tagline of the openingscampagne: Essentially You,’ sounds at Kohsuke Kobayashi, ceo of Uniqlo Belgium.
Uniqlo launches the People Campaign this year, in a sign of the opening of the third store in Belgium. Lefto, Nancy Eissaoui, Carl Anders Sven Hultin (CASH), AnneZagré and Sophie Lauwers form the group of five locals whose creativity and entrepreneurial spirit in the viewer. They show in a video their personal style and relationship with Brussels.
Lefto, pseudonym of Stéphane Lallemand, is DJ, producer, curator and radiopersoonlijkheid. He has his own program on radio station Studio Brussels. Lefto travels with his eclectic DJ sets around the world, but he will be equally happy to return home to his beloved Schaerbeek. ‘Brussels is a musical melting pot. Thanks to the different backgrounds of the people who live there, they are very open to different kinds of music.’
Nancy Eissaoui and her husband, Hassan are the founders of CHYL, an organic concept store in the Louise district of Brussels with delicious and healthy food and guest rooms, a place where all their dreams and passions want to deliver together with their daughter Iris. ‘I think that Brussels is really an identity of its own.’
On October 19, 2017 at 10: 00 you open Uniqlo’s first store in Brussels. The new store in the renovated shopping center ‘The Mint‘ on the ‘Muntplein’ and will have two floors with a total sales area of approx. 1500 m2.
