Leader of communist militia arrested in the Philippines
The Philippine police has on Monday a communist rebel leader arrested. That happened a few days after president Rodrigo Duterte to an end had been made to the file with the communist rebels of the New people’s army (NPA).
Friday was announced by the president on the fight with the group to resume. The rebel leader who in the south at a checkpoint was arrested Ariel Arbitrario. He came last year with dozens of guerrillas on free feet when the government and the rebels to restart peace talks started.
Two days ago, the NPA is already the truce to end. Since then, seven soldiers by the NPA killed. That was for Duterte in response to the fight against the NPA again. Duterte calls NPA now a terrorist group.
The NPA is the armed branch of the communist party of the Philippines (CPP) and has since the sixties struggle for the establishment of a communist state on the archipelago.
