It’s true when they say that dancing is a workout — just ask Lauren Alaina!

Alaina, who was cast on “Dancing With the Stars” for the 28th season, has lost 25 pounds since the beginning of the show.

“I’ve lost, like, 25 pounds since July,” the singer revealed to Us Weekly. “None of my clothes fit.”

Her partner on the show, Gleb Savchenko, agreed, and said, “You’re welcome.”

“American Idol’s” 10th season runner-up, has a troubled history in the weight-loss arena.

Alaina battled bulimia in her late teens to overcome in the year 2012, which lead her to make her gain weight. In 2017, when she revealed to The Tennessean that she’s lost 27 pounds due to the amplification of her fitness regime with a trainer, punching, and switching her diet to a high-protein, high-carb diet with the help of a chef who makes the meals at her house.

She dedicated her song “to be Free”, to her struggle with an eating disorder on her “Road Less Traveled” album.

The country singer had a very emotional night on Monday’s filming of “Dancing With the Stars,” when she did a modern dance to her song, “on The Other Side of it.”

She wrote the song, which adds to her step-father, Sam Ramker, who passed away exactly one year ago, on the night after his fight with stage 4 cancer.

A ‘Good’ singer, from her late step-father’s pride with her performance, saying: “My step-father was one of the most positive, cheerful, happy person I’ve ever met, and if he was here tonight, he would’ve been the most proud of me.”

“I just kept thinking about it during the dance, and the dance,” I just want to make proud of him, and to my mother,” she continued. “Their worst nightmare happened on this day last year. Thus, the fact that we’re even here and there it was that a dance is just a great blessing to us. I feel really proud of that.”
