An ISIS propaganda video posted on social media last week was characterized by a short clip of Las Vegas and the famous strip, in which Sin City law enforcement authorities to show a credible threat.
The 44-minute video 2015 images of the strip, together with the images from other cities, including New York city and Washington, D. C. The video, narrated in English, calls on ISIS supporters living in the U.S. to carry out attacks with knives and vehicles.
The FBI Las Vegas field office said in a statement it is to work together with other departments of the U.S. government and the “international law enforcement, intelligence and security agencies to share information and intelligence.”
The development came as hundreds of thousands of tourists were ready to descend on Las Vegas for Memorial Day weekend. The local population and visitors expect an increased presence of the police, particularly in the aftermath of the Manchester explosion that killed 22 people.
“We are always involved in the Las Vegas is referred to by groups or individuals who have the idea of committing acts of violence to cause,” a spokesman for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told Fox News. “Our city is mentioned in similar videos, and publications, but these are the most recent video serves as a reminder to remain vigilant to any suspicious activity.”
