‘Lars von Trier inspired by Donald Trump in a film about serial killer’
Filmmaker Lars von Trier says in the making of his new film The house that Jack built, partly inspired by Donald Trump.
“The house that Jack built is about the idea that life is evil and soulless, and that is unfortunately proven by the recent emergence of the “Gay trumpus”, the rattenkoning,” said Von Trier, according to The Guardian.
The film, with Matt Dillon in the lead role, is about serial killer Jack the Ripper. Also, Bruno Ganz, Adolf Hitler played in Der Untergang, has a role.
Von Trier says rarely about his own movies since he was in 2011’s persona non grata was declared at the Cannes film festival. In Cannes, he had a comment made about Hitler during a press conference about the film Melancholia.
