Largest defeat since 1961 for the Dutch national team

The 4-0 defeat of the Dutch national team against France is the biggest defeat that Orange has suffered since 1961.

At the time, lost the Netherlands in a friendly international match against Belgium with the same digits.

It was also only the third time that Orange in a competitive match with four goals difference and lost. In 1952 won Brazil with 5-1 at the Olympic Games in 1908 were the Britons at the Games with 4-0 too strong.

By the substantial loss in Paris, Orange is now at a record tegendoelpunten in a world cup qualifier. The Dutch national team cashed in seven matches, ten goals.

In the qualifications for the world cup of 1994 and 2002 knew the opponents of Orange in each other nine times to score.

The Dutch national team has once again a heavy blow received in the kwalificatiereeks for the world CHAMPIONSHIPS next year in Russia. Orange suffered in Paris a painful and completely losing defeat against France: 4-0.
