Large drugsvangst for coast Australia
In a search of a yacht off the coast of Eastern Australia met with the federal police last week on the 1.4 tonnes of cocaine. It is the largest catch ever for the Australian authorities, that the news Monday revealed. The drugs have a street value of only about 222 million euros.
The catch was two and a half years of investigation in advance to a drug network in different countries operates. Six people have been arrested: four Australians, a New Zealander, and someone with both a Swiss as a Fijian passport. Several Australian security agencies worked to do this together.
The six suspects can be lifelong. The police think more arrests are to be carried out.
