“Self-made” Forbes cover, August 2018

Jenner appeared on the August 2018 cover of Forbes, reported they are on the right track “to be the youngest ever self-made millionaire.”

In his article on Jenner, Forbes valued Kylie Jenner Cosmetics, which she will have full ownership of almost $800 million, adding that Jenner rakes in millions more from endorsement deals and appearances on her family’s reality TV show.

Although the term “self-made” does not sit well with many Twitter users, Jenner did invest $250,000 of her own money from modeling gigs for the production of the first line of the lip kits, which eventually led to her make-up empire.

Jenner got her own E! the reality show, which kicked off on Aug. 6, 2017 — four days before her 20th birthday. The show consisted of eight episodes.

Jenner and her sister Kendall was the mobile game stars as Glu Mobile “Kendall & Kylie,” was released in February 2016.

The same company was also behind hit mobile game for the half-sister of Kim Kardashian.

Puma deal, February 2016

On the same day as the mobile game starts, the sportswear giant’s global director of brand and marketing Adam Petrick told E! News of the company was “indeed” working with Jenner.

“Kylie will be featured in the brand’s Spring/Summer women’s training campaign to start in April 2016,” he said at the time.

Jenner has since appeared in other Puma campaigns.

Kendall + Kylie clothing launch in February 2016

“In 2016, the Jenner sisters started their own eponymously named clothing line at New York Fashion Week,” Miss Vogue reports.

The famous brothers and sisters, currently sells clothing, accessories and shoes on the Kendall + Kylie website online.

Entering the cosmetics business, November 2015

Jenner offered $29 lip kits for sale at the end of November 2015, with Women’s Wear Daily is reporting, “the three colors sold out in a few seconds.”

The company was known as Kylie Cosmetics in February 2016, with other colors added.

“I can’t leave the house without lipstick,” Jenner told Fast Company in 2017. “Everyone was so interested in the color that I wore. But nothing is ever perfect for me. I thought, Why not make my own lip kit with a liner and lipstick?”

By September 2017, CNBC reported that the company had reached $420 million in revenue over a period of 18 months.

Customers can currently purchase a range of beauty products, aside from lip kits which are now available in a variety of colors.

The App and website launch, September 2015

Both Jenner’s official app and website, thekyliejenner.com launched in September 2015, Seventeen reported. App subscribers have to pay $2.99 per month to access the content.

PacSun collection, February 2013

Jenner and Kendall’s partnership with the clothing retailer started in February 2013, a press release from the company, although the link was unveiled in November 2012.

PacSun said: “the premier collection has a assortment of trendy young women’s pieces that reflect the optimism, creativity and diversity of PacSun’s California heritage.”

The sisters have since then, several collections with the brand.

Nail Polish deal, July 2011

Jenner, her mother Kris, plus little sisters Kendall, Kourtney Kardashian, Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian along with nail Polish company OPI for a 2011 “Kardashian Kolors” deal, the New York Daily News reported at the time.

Two shades referenced, the youngest of the Kardashian-Jenner brother or sister: “Rainbow in the S-kylie” and “Wear Something Spar-kylie,” Huffington Post reported, declare that, to Kylie, then 13 years old, nabbed $100,000.
