Klaasen to second round of world CHAMPIONSHIP darts, rare loss Van der Voort

Jelle Klaasen has Thursday evening the second round of the world CHAMPIONSHIP darts in London. The 32-year-old Dutchman was too strong for debutant Jeffrey de Graaf: 3-1. Vincent van der Voort survived surprisingly the first round.
The ongeplaatste The Count (26) gave the tenth-ranked Klaasen good party in Alexandra Palace and continued in to 1-1. At decisive moments it was Klaasen eventually just a bit better.

Van der Voort, as a twentieth placed, suffered a rare defeat. It was the first time in ten world cup participations that the North-Dutchman in the opening round was turned off. In 2011 and In 2015 he reached to the quarter-finals.
By the profit from Klaasen there are four Dutch nationals, the opening round have survived. Previously managed top favourite Michael van Gerwen, Raymond van Barneveld Benito van de Pas in it.
