KKK fliers in candy bags found on the lawns in Texas City, Texas

Residents in a Texas City neighborhood are upset after KKK flyers were on their lawn in small bags of candy over the Memorial Day weekend.

Texas City Police said Tuesday that they collected 17 bags of 27th Street to the North. Each contained a small number of small pieces of candy and three pilots for the “Loyal White Knights.”

Under the language on the leaflets: “Join the best or die like the rest.”

“It was just laying on the front driveway next to the back of my truck,” said resident Kevin Bliss. “I saw no reason why I should read it, until now. That it is not something I like.”

Randy Carr found one of the bags on his yard. “I thought I was a child, playing jokes,” said Carr, “but when I called the hotline and no, it is a real hotline.”

The hotline he refers, is listed on the flyers. It brings callers to a long message for the Loyal White Knights. Under the content of the message is referred to that verse of the bible is the spreading of the beliefs of the group, including, that “the Jews are the children of Satan.”

“They are advertising to invite something like that and it is – we are not that kind of a neighborhood,” said resident Josie Ramos. Ramos did not find one of the bags on her lawn, but says that she is worried that such messages is shared in its environment.
