Madrid – king Juan Carlos travels to Havana, at the head of the Spanish delegation to the events around the former Cuban President Fidel Castro at his funeral.
The officials in the Royal Palace confirmed on Sunday that Juan Carlos, who abdicated in favor of his son, now king Felipe VI, in the year of 2014 is the trip to Cuba on Tuesday to attend one of the scheduled events around the Castro ‘ s funeral and the tributes to him.
The event of the king’s visit is predicted to draw a “huge” amount on the Revolution square in Havana.
Accompanying Juan Carlos in the Spanish delegation of the Secretary of state for International cooperation and Ibero-America, Jesus Gracia, the authorities said.

Cubans will be expected to pay homage to Castro for almost a week with events and celebrations, attended by many thousands in Havana and Santiago de Cuba, where the leader of the revolution, the ashes interred, in the Dec. 4.
