16 arrested in Kim Kardashian jewel heist
Thieves stole $10 million of jewellery after tying Kardashian up
Kim Kardashian made her big return to Paris, almost two years after she is robbed under the threat of a gun.
She and her husband Kanye West traveled to the City of Light for Paris Fashion Week, where the couple was photographed on Thursday, making their way to the Louis Vuitton Menswear Spring/Summer show.
“Thank you Paris for the emotional journey back!” she tweeted on Thursday. “I could not come for a better reason.”
Kardashian was staying in an apartment in the Hôtel de Pourtalès in October 2016, when masked thieves with nearly $10 million in jewels, including the enormous amount of $4 million diamond engagement ring. She was left tied up and gagged in a bathtub as the robbers escaped with her jewels.
Three months later, the French police have charged 10 people in the attack. In April 2018, another suspect was collar.
The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star previously said that she was “meant” to be robbed because the experience has taught her to be less materialistic and ostentatious.
