Kevin Hart has made his first official gig in 2019, the People’s Choice Awards, on Sunday, after his life-threatening car accident at the end of September.
The 40-year-old comedian was on hand to accept the award for best stand-up comedy act by 2019. He received a standing ovation from the audience after the presenter, Robert Downey Jr. it announced him as the winner.

“First of all, I thank God, because I certainly don’t in order to be here,” the comedian began with a speech from the! Online. “That I am, it makes me appreciate life even more. It allows me to enjoy the things that really matter. Of the family.”
He went on to say, “I would like to express my gratitude to my wife and kids, who have really stepped up to the plate in front of me.”
Hart ended his speech with the words of thanks from the hope of the fans that showed their support for him shortly after the near-fatal crash on Sept. 1.

KEVIN HART IS SPEAKING OUT ABOUT A NEAR-FATAL CAR CRASH, AS INVESTIGATORS SAID NEGLIGENCE CAUSED THE ACCIDENT
The comedian was riding in the front seat of a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda with the other two men in the early morning hours of Sept. 1, when the driver lost control of the vehicle and went careening down an embankment before slamming into a tree. The report of the police officer that the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time.
Heart is believed to have been a broken back in three places, which put him in the hospital for several days and forced him to undergo a difficult rehabilitation. The comedy is documented, some of which is at the rehab in an emotional video posted to Instagram on Oct. 29.
“When God speaks, you listen,” Hart said of the footage, which shows him taking the first steps with a walking frame as well as the health of employees to assist him.
In this case, I have to be honest, in the sense that God was telling me to sit down. You know what, you’re going too fast, you’re doing too much, you may not be able to see the things that you are meant to be seen.”

His appearance at the People’s Choice Awards and marks his first official trip after being spotted in Los Angeles, and back to promotion work for his upcoming movie, “Jumanji: The Next Level.”
