Kentucky woman arrested for allegedly leaving children in the car with a loaded gun to get tan: report

Monica Gentry, 25, is reportedly facing the charges of endangering the welfare of a minor.

A Kentucky woman tanning in a salon in Louisville, ky was arrested when authorities discovered she allegedly left her two children in a car with a loaded rifle.

Monica Gentry, 25, of Shepherdsville, was Tuesday arrested after local authorities received a call about two children-a five-year-old and a five month old baby — only in the car.

When they arrived, they found the children in the car with two loaded pistols. At least one of the cannons was within the range of the older child, according to WDRB News.

At the time of their arrival, Gentry was reportedly in a local Sun Tan City, where she had been for about 30 minutes, according to the news station.

The 25-year-old is now faced with the charges of endangering the welfare of a small, WDRB News reported.

A spokesman for the Louisville Metro Police Department was not immediately available for comment when contacted by Fox News on Saturday.
