Kentucky mother accused of forcing the teen to drink 20 years

SOMERSET, Ky. – A Kentucky woman accused of forcing her 14-year-old daughter to drink whiskey until she fell with her probation revoked.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reports the 35-year-old woman was sentenced last week to 20 years in prison. She had previously been placed on five years probation instead of prison time on several charges, including burglary.

A judge ruled she violated the terms of probation, in which a prohibition on the possession or drinking of alcohol. In March, Somerset police were tipped to a video in which the woman is heard to say that she could get “a thousand million dollars” for the recording of her daughter.

They told the police that they tried to teach the girl that the drink was bad.

Its charges in that case are not solved.

The Associated Press is not identifying the mother to avoid identifying the teenager.
