Kellie Pickler adds her own touch to the Christmas season with its 2016 holiday collection for its product line, the Selma Three collection.
Available exclusively through the Grand Ole Opry, the interior line is inspired by Pickler’s great-grandmother, Selma.
“She was a little spitfire, I know where I get it,” Pickler says with a laugh in a telephone interview with the Taste of the Country. “I am a part of Selma Selma is a part of me.”
In 2016, the holiday collection offers a variety of pieces that are all true to the country singer, including candles (some of her favorite items), ornaments, cake plates and much more, with many of the products in accordance with the 2015 holiday collection.

But one piece in particular that is especially for the stars, the snow globe with a holiday song recorded by Pickler per year. In 2016 is her favorite, “White Christmas.”
“The recording of ‘White Christmas’ in the snow globe really kind of the theme for this year,” she says, adding that it fits in the color palette for the 2016 theme, that a lot of whites, creams and rustic colours.
“White Christmas” is not only Pickler favorite holiday song, but one that holds special memories for her. They sung the song in addition to the former chief of staff of the army during the run of the country for the troops during the holiday season.
“All the soldiers would sing. It was a sweet moment,” she reveals. “We keep a tradition that every year with the snow globe, and a song, kind of like a little collector’s item.”
The singing snow globe is just one of the many eye-catching pieces. The new collection also includes cutting boards, in the shape of North Carolina and Tennessee, two states that hold meaning to the stars.
“I picked those two states because they represent home and Nashville, that the transition of moving to Tennessee,” the North Carolina native says. “The kind of marriage in that song ‘I Wonder’ that I wrote about the estranged relationship with my biological mother.”
In 2017 will find Pickler planning for the Selma Three spring collection and recording of new music. She spent her most recent single, “Feeling Tonight,” in 2015.
“I look forward to get back into writing and to do some studio work and getting new music,” she says. In addition, she and her husband Kyle Jacobs hope she’s back for a third season of their CMT show, “I Love Kellie Pickler,” it is an experience that they both enjoyed.
“This really allows us to spend more time together and we get a document fun, somewhat silly memories we have with our friends,” Pickler says of the show. “We were all in agreeance that we wanted to create a positive, fun, light-hearted show.”
