Kaytranada wins Polaris Music Prize

Kaytranada, one of the hottest beatbakkers of the moment, is this year’s winner of the Polaris Music Prize, a synonym for the best album of the year in the name of a Canadian artist.

The Canadian producer-dj Kaytranada has the Polaris Music Prize 2016. The award distinguishes excellence in the Canadian music scene. ‘99,9%’, title of the album, let albums, of Grimes, Carly Rae Jepsen, and White Lung.

On his debut album plays, the Haiti-born Canadian with a deep house-influenced synths, funky basslijnen and keys of neosoul of the better kind.
