Katie Piper bravely shared heart-breaking photos of the injuries she sustained in a March, 2008, when her then-boyfriend, Daniel Lynch, a man of violent assault of her in an acid attack.

The model and TV personality, 35, was placed in the never-before-seen picture of her severely burned face and neck, moments after Stefan Sylvestre, who was hired by her ex-boyfriend, hurled sulphuric acid in her. They shared a long caption to describe the recovery from this severe test, which is to the left of the former “strictly Come Dancing” contestant is blind in one eye.

I remember when I was afraid of people, afraid of people,” said Piper. “I know that, I was afraid of the world. I have to remind myself to open up to the people, and to talk about my trauma and psychological damage, it was simply not possible [sic].”

Ever since her attack She has endured more than 30 operations, told Sky News in 2015, and that she just wanted to go in an attempt to rebuild her life.

“I don’t think it’s going to be that easy, but I want to try it,” she said. “I would like to switch to my assault, and I don’t want to be a frightened child. I would like it to blossom into a confident, capable woman.”

Sylvestre was released from prison last year after the handing over of a life sentence.
