Kate Upton hits back at ‘stupid and misogynistic comments to talk about the World Series of poker controversy

Kate Upton is the gift of online commenters a piece of her mind after she was criticised for his comments on a controversial call during Game 6 of the World Series between the Houston Astros and the Washington Nationals on Tuesday night.

“I LIKE to talk to you about sports and all the stupid misogynistic remarks,” Upton, who is married to a Houston Astros pitcher, Justin Verlander, tweeted.

“I think that women need to have to continue to fight for equality. It’s 2019 at the latest, but the feel of the 1950’s. #feminist,” she added.

Hours later, Upton said to MLB umpires were right on the line of the Nationals, outfielder Trea Turner had a try with the Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel, during the execution of the slow roller in the top of the seventh inning. The victory, in the first instance, called upon to play before the game was stopped for about 10 minutes while the umpires discussed the situation with the MLB officials in New York city.

Upton, 27, tweeted a photo of the game, as well as expressing her frustration that the review of the call, as long as it took.

“He [Turner] was in the base path,” Upton explained. “Those of you who don’t know, the rule is that you NEED to complete within two (2) lines. Not sure why the review is so long…”

Several Twitter users have commented saying things like “stick to modeling” and “hold on to what you know…. modeling it.” Another person wrote: “…….anything more than that is the loss of the vessels [sic] a woman. Shhhhhhhh.”

In the meantime, there are many other social media commenters agreed with Upton.

“Agreed,” said one of them. “Ump made the right call, as he should be.”

Another read: “MS Kate, you’re absolutely correct. Rule 5.09(a)(11).”

The Nationals eventually won the game, 7-2, to force a decisive Game 7 on Wednesday night.

Upton and Verlander, 36 years old, married for a year in 2017, and welcomed a daughter last year.
