Rick Karsdorp will be possible Sunday already back in the clash of the Season for the uitduel with Vitesse. The right back is almost recovered from a knee injury.

“Rick has today almost all participated in the training. He has no reaction in his knee. I hope that tomorrow is also the case. That would be a positive sign,” said Van Bronckhorst Friday at his weekly press conference.

The impending comeback of Karsdorp is striking, since there are recently messages to the outside came the triple international of Orange the rest of the season off. That turns out not to be the case.

“Rick is not a medical miracle”, said Van Bronckhorst. “Of course, is wrong on his knee, but the chance was big that it could.”

Karsdorp ran the injury at the beginning of april in the lost Classic against Ajax (2-1). He appeared Wednesday for the first time on the training ground of the Locals.

Bilal Başaçıkoğlu is Sunday anyway, not of the party in the Gelredome. The attacker is already almost two months on the side with an ankle injury and made Wednesday also again his appearance at the training session. “With Bilal slightly less than with Rick”, it left Van Bronckhorst to know.

The coach realizes that the match against Vitesse crucial in the battle for the championship title. “But it is not the heaviest. All three matches that we still have to play to be extremely important and can be tough.”

“The word is crucial to hear every week, even now. After that, there are still two matches to play. We simply must continue to win, then we are champion.”

Van Bronckhorst does not think that his team Sunday in the advantage since former Feyenoord’s Henk Fraser will be responsible to Vitesse. “There is a lot said about it, how he feels. Henk takes decisions in the interest of Vitesse, not looking at other teams.”

“We were sitting last year in the same situation, just before the cup final. We had a week with three duels. Also I have when a number of substitutions made.”

The team defends as a leader a lead of one point at number two Ajax, Sunday, to visit number three PSV. Van Bronckhorst saw Thursday night full of admiration for how Ajax, after a nerve-wracking match against Schalke 04 qualified for the semi-finals of the Europa League.

“I have pieces of that frustration. It went on all sides, there was everything in. I think it’s a huge accomplishment, we have to be proud of in the Netherlands. Now they should be off to PSV, but for me it is Vitesse-the most important thing.”

Vitesse-Feyenoord starts Sunday at 14.30, and is under the leadership of Pol van Boekel. Then sounds at 16.45 hours the first whistle of Kevin Blom in the top match between PSV and Ajax in the Philips Stadium.
