The fashion world is in mourning for the loss of Karl Lagerfeld, the old creative director of Chanel as a fixed value in the fashion industry for the last five decades.
Lagerfeld’s death was first announced by the French media early on the Tuesday after the rumors of the German fashion designer declining health; Lagerfeld had not appeared at the finish of the Chanel show during Paris Fashion Week as he was “tired,” the fashion house said.

Fans and friends on social media and started sharing their own contributions to the end of the designer, with much to thank him for his unique contributions. Its own design team — TeamKarl — also expanded their “love forever” on social media.
“He leaves behind an extraordinary legacy as one of the greatest designers of our time, and there are no words to express how much he will be missed,” reads a message posted on Lagerfeld’s Instagram account.
Celebrities, models and other figures in the fashion industry are also sharing their messages about Lagerfeld’s passing, such as Victoria Beckham, Kristen Stewart and Vogue magazine.
Lagerfeld, known for his characteristic ponytail and dark suits in the later years of his life, was ever quoted by the British Vogue said: “I am like a caricature of myself, and I want that.”
“It’s like a mask. And for me the Carnival of Venice lasts all year long,” he said.
