Kanye West sees no reason why he can’t support Donald Trump and Colin Kaepernick at the same time and he has the outfit to prove it.
The 41-year-old rapper went to the New York office of The Fader rocking both a “renewed” MAGA hat and a sweater with the controversial football player’s name printed on the chest on Thursday morning.
It is an ensemble that most people wouldn’t dare to put together, especially because the messages represented by both men completely at odds with each other.
Kaepernick rose to prominence in 2016 after he began to kneel down during the national anthem to protest racial injustice in America. Trump has mentioned, a player who is kneeling during the national anthem, a “son of a b-tch,” claiming that, in contrast to what the players say, they are actually showing a lack of respect for the American flag and those who fought.

Despite the hostility of the two men, and their followers, can have for another, the West is not hidden his affection for.
Much has been made about his support of the “dragon energy” brother Trump card, but the rapper was quick to applaud Nike for making Kaepernick the new face of their latest “Just Do It” campaign earlier this month.
“I stand for giving everyone a voice,” he tweeted. “Adidas is giving me a voice and Nike giving Colin a voice on a big-business level it makes the world a more advanced place.”
Of course, Kanye told the crowd at the magazine that his hat, which he called “the elephant in the room,” was not just an old MAGA hat. He is redesigned.
“But it is my hat, I once again,” he said in a video posted on Twitter. “I changed the border, I mean, I changed the form here, and I put the positive energy that is in the hat.”
