Kansas sheriff’s deputy fatally shot in his home; the person questioned: report

An off-duty sheriff’s deputy was fatally shot at his home on Saturday night, in Kansas City, Kan., according to the report.

The deputy has not been identified, but was said to be in his late 50’s, the Kansas City Star reported.

According to FOX 4 in Kansas City, Mo., authorities took a person in for questioning in connection with the case, but don’t want to say who that person was, and whether or not the person lived at the same address. However, the report described the matter as a domestic dispute.

The deputy has worked for the Wyandotte County Sheriff’s Office, however, the case was investigated by the Kansas City, Kan., the police, according to the Star.

No other injuries were reported.

In June 2018, and two other Wyandotte County deputies killed in the line of duty, while the transfer of the prisoner.
