Juvenile killer asks court to stop the mandatory life on parole

HARRISBURG, Pa. – A prisoner who will soon be released after serving decades in prison for a murder committed when he was 14, wants Pennsylvania’s highest court to prevent him from spending the rest of his life on parole.

Richard Lee-year-Olds filed a request Tuesday asking the state Supreme Court to release on bail under certain circumstances for him and others like him sentenced as a boy to take part in the number of murders without doing the actual killing.

A county judge in Pittsburgh last month resentenced year old to 20 years to life and ordered him released.

Plaintiffs oppose him on bail while his case is on appeal and the court reversed itself.
