A Senior Justice Department official told Fox News on Friday that Jeff Jensen, the U.S. attorney for the Eastern district of Missouri, was assigned to Flynn’s case.


Jensen works hand-in-hand with the chief Prosecutor of the Flynn case, Brandon Van Grack, according to the official.

The case has gone against the former US army Lieutenant-General through years of twists and turns, with sentencing postponed again and again in the last two years. Flynn’s Fans have insisted that he is innocent, but was forced to plead guilty, as his son was, with criminal prosecution threatened, and that he exhausted his financial resources.

The announcement of the review of Flynn’s case comes amid a turbulent week at the Ministry of justice.

On Monday, prosecutors recommended a prison sentence between 87 and 108 months in prison for Trumpf employees and GOP operative Roger stone, after he was convicted on seven counts of obstruction, witness tampering and making false statements to the Congress on the fees that originated from the former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.

But in a stunning reversal, as reported by Fox News first, leadership in the Ministry of justice removed the Prosecutor on the case, scaling back the proposed rate for the stone, which immediately led Democrats to accuse President Trump, an interference in the process by tweeting about his dissatisfaction with the Ministry of justice. Trump denies it, and the case was complicated further by questions of possible juror bias.
