Andrews, 84, sat down with ABC News to discuss the content of her memoir, “the Work of the House: A Memoir of Hollywood in Years,” including the details of her first love, the theatre.
During the filming of “The Americanization of Emily,” Andrew had to shoot a love scene with Oscar-nominee James Garner, and for which she was “scared to death.”

“I had no way of knowing what is — and [it was] supposed to be doing,” mr Andrews told Diane Sawyer, “and with a kiss, and all that stuff.”
Andrews, explains Garner, is “delicious”, and make it easy for her, but he couldn’t help what happened next.
“I started thinking,” isn’t It a little hot in here.’ And when I woke up, I kept thinking, ” I can manage this.’ I stood up and my legs hung down, because it really hit me hard,” Andrew revealed.

She remembers Garner, is “very nice” on the scene, he added, “I think he was — he would have loved it, too.”
Andrews admitted that at the time, she didn’t know a lot about men,” who have just gone through a divorce and then fell in love with the film director Blake Edwards.
Andrew, it would have five children, and the star of dozens of films, including such standouts as “Mary Poppins.” Most recently, she has lent her voice to the “He” and “Despicable Me” franchise.
