Julianne Hough took to Instagram on Thursday to remind us of her two late dogs, who, tragically, died on the same day and at the end of September.

In her Story, she has a picture of her holding her late Cavalier King Charles spaniels, Lexi and Harley, in the snow.

Hough, simply captioning the photo, “the Forever moments️🙏.”

Hough also announced the passing of her beloved dogs, and in October, via a long post on Instagram.

“Pure love is to be genuine, it was also through us. My heart has been enlarged, and have felt the truth of what is possible. I am forever grateful,” she began in the caption. “Thank you for your love. Thank you for being my baby, my daughter. Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for teaching me how to work with your mother. Thank you for allowing me to give and receive love. Thank you for your kisses.”

She kept up with the times, thanks to you, stating the following: “Thank you for your many blessings, every minute of every day. Thank you, for your heart. Thank you for protecting me.” Thank you for letting me help you protect it. Thank you for protecting each other. Thank you for the timeless memories. Thank you for your magic. Thank you for being the most consistent and persistent things in my life…. Thanks for all of you. Thank you for being my guardians of life on this earth, and even more so now.”

“I have never known a love like this one. I’m going to miss you. I love you and always will be. Now You Are Free. Lexi-July 21, 2008 – September 28, 2019, Harley, March 28, 2011 To September 28, 2019 at the latest,” concludes the post.

Both Lexi and Harley, played integral roles in the Hough family. Brother Derek took to Instagram after their death, to pen a heartfelt tribute to, and say, “💔I honestly don’t know what to say except that these two creations have brought so many wonderful memories of our family’s life for the past 11 years.”

Their abrupt end, it was a tragedy, but the memories will always be remembered with joy, love and happiness,” she concluded.

Her husband, Brooks Laich, was also a tribute to the pups.

“Her tragic passing, my wife and I were devastated. Lexi and Harley, were not just pets to us, they are our children, and we loved it as such,” he wrote.
