Judge prohibits auction of personal items of Madonna
The personal items of Madonna should not be at an auction to be sold. That ruled a court in New York Tuesday, reports the New York Post.
The singer had asked for the ban, because it came to intimate matters. A brush with her hair, worn lingerie and love letters that she received from Tupac Shakur would be under the hammer.
In the rechtbankpapieren she pointed out that through her DNA profile could be determined. “It is shocking and deeply offensive that my DNA will be auctioned could be,” she writes. She tells also that they were not even aware that they have the letter from Tupac no more in possession.
The auction house was expecting about 400,000 dollars (346.000 euros) to get to the letter. It is in appeal against the judgment. That case comes up in september for the right.
