Joy Villa other political fashion statement at the Los Angeles premiere of “Unplanned”, a film based on the former Planned Parenthood clinic director Abby Johnson’s book of the same name.
Johnson was a pro-life activist after his discharge from an abortion clinic in 2009, where she worked for eight years. Villa said she got Johnson to the entrance of her hot pink dress, which was adorned with little subtlety, the reading of “F—k Planned Parenthood.”
“I believe in women in health care clinics, but abortion is not in the health care and Planned Parenthood is pushing and indoctrinating girls with pink and girliness,” Villa told The Hollywood Reporter on Monday of her Barbie-inspired ensemble.

“Unplanned” caused a backlash for the R-rating from the MPAA, which some attributed to an anti-conservative prejudices. Villa, however, is of the opinion that the limited rating was justified.
“It shows that for an abortion, but it is not necessary, needlessly graphic. Abby personally had two miscarriages. In one scene, she does it with a pill, and she was in the shower and the blood runs down her legs and the pieces are taken from her and she put it on the toilet and cry,” Villa said. “Then she is on the ground screaming and crying. So in that context, it is brutal and violent. I think an R-rating makes it more notorious. I think that you must be at least 14 or 15 to see it.”
