Jones realizes that he must perform to first goalkeeper to stay
Brad Jones is happy that he is now his competitor Kenneth Vermeer again, fit is preferred under the crossbar for Feyenoord, but the Australian charges are still not rich for the rest of the season.
“A few days ago told trainer Giovanni van Bronckhorst that I would continue to goalkeeping, but he has not so much to say that I really the first keeper am,” says the 34-year-old Jones against NUsport. “He said only that I keep playing.”
Jones sees the decision of Van Bronckhorst, especially, as a logical consequence of the results of the Rotterdam club, who in the battle for the championship title is still five points ahead of number two Ajax.
“The team is doing well, and we are stable. So there was not really reason to change anything. For Kenneth, that is maybe difficult, because now he is a top keeper and now he is fit again, he wants to play. But he comes here very professional.”
