John Mayer can number of the album not singing because of the ‘cruel’ lyrics
John Mayer can Never on the Day You Leave, from his latest album The Search of Everything, not playing live. The singer says that a lyric in the song so difficult to sing, that he is the song from his setlist has been deleted.
“I wrote the song when I was very sad, the kind of grief that everyone, hopefully, but a once in-a-lifetime experience,” says the 39-year-old artist in an interview with The Highway.
Mayer says the song is in twenty minutes wrote. “And there is a sense in which so cruelly, because he simply is true. I the song can not play live because I don’t think that I can finish. I’ve never played live, I don’t even like to think about it. (…) I have even days to come up with that line in sing for the album. I was just start crying.”
According to Mayer, it relates to the lyric “She’ll fight for you like hell, then force herself to like some other guy”.
The singer says that the “women’s own” is to be fully for a partner to go, until the relationship runs aground. “Then over you to come, they force themselves in such a way to change that old person never returned.”
It is not known to which ex the song in question. Mayer previously had relationships with well-known stars, including Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston and Katy Perry.
