John Legend, Kelly Clarkson Baby, It’s Cold Outside “version is ridiculous,” Sharon Osbourne said

Sharon Osbourne went to the John Legend and Kelly Clarkson to re-record the song, “Baby It’s Cold Outside.”

‘The Voice’ coaches announced last week that they are recording a new version of the 1944 classic written by Frank Loesser, after the words of the text have been growing problem over the years, the concept of consent.

But Osbourne said on “The talk” Monday that the terms of the re-write of the problematic numbers is “ridiculous.”

“What would John Legend do it, if it’s 40 years old, if someone tried to… to re-record one of his songs, and there was a group that found it offensive, he just went,” Oh, I can help you with the lyrics of a song on that, ” she said.

“For me, it’s like a master’s painting,” Own argument. “It’s a piece of art.”

The 67-year-old took issue with a particular lyric that appears out of a sample of the song will be released through the music. Instead, the song is about a persistent male suitor attempting to convince a reluctant woman to spend the night with him, and Who sings: “What will my friends think?… If I have a drink?”

“It’s your body and your choice,” the Legend replies.

“In order to change it from just an innocent text, which is the ‘body and soul’? What the hell are you? That’s ridiculous,” Osbourne exclaimed. “I have to tell you, I love you by John Legend. I love John Legend’s wife and his family. He is an amazing artist that I really respect. Why are you doing this?” That’s not a good sign.”

The segment ended with Osbourne, explained that it should not have to re-record a song that they actively dislike, and most of her co-hosts agreed.

Last year, a Cleveland radio station WDOK, pulled the song from the line-up after the listener has been concern expressed about the standard of the lyrics.

“It wasn’t our decision,” WDOK hosts Desiray, told Fox 8 in the course of time. “It is the judgment of our readers.”

She said: “People will say,” Oh, enough with the #MeToo, but if you’re really on the side and just listen to the lyrics, it’s not something I would want my daughter to be in that kind of situation. The tune might be catchy, but perhaps we don’t promote that kind of idea.”

In the meantime, the criticism of the song, and drew backlash from some, with actor Dennis Quaid to say that he was going to be a bit far to call it a problem, and Dean Martin’s daughter, Deena, as they say, “it was absolutely flabbergasted” that the critics wanted to be the number to be demolished.
