The infamous “Florida man” meme, inspired by the scandalous headlines that are from the ‘Sunshine State’, such as the “Florida man throws bike, then another man from the bridge,” has now turned into a viral trend. And even singer John Legend is joining in on the fun.
The “Florida man” challenge grew shortly after Twitter user @g_pratimaaa suggested people find out what “Florida man” headline was published on their birthday.

“EVERYONE google “florida man” followed by your birthday (florida man and 22 August) and tell me what you get. mine is Florida Man tries to attack a neighbor with a tractor,” she wrote.
Later clarified she was inspired by @gandalfsoda on social networking site Tumblr.
Legend, 40, tweeted a screenshot of the header of his birthday, Dec. 28. That headline was: “Video: Florida man drops stolen TV outing of the scooter.”
Comedian Brian Limond, known as Limmy, is also weighted with his head in two screengrabs: “Florida man claims that he killed, dismembered roommate because he may be the” next mass-murderer, ” cops say.”

Other responses included a user Sept. 22 birthday, with the headline: “Florida man rides manatee, dares the police to arrest, is arrested.”
Another user noted: “When will I receive my price?” for his Feb. 28 headline: “Florida man who allegedly threatened family with Coldplay lyrics ends standoff after SWAT promises him his pizza.”
Someone tweeted a screenshot of the May 26, headline: “Miami Police Shoot, Kill Man Eating Another Man’s Face.” She said: “My other option was the ‘Florida man was arrested for assaulting his roommate with a pizza.'”
