Memorial Day is known for the barbecue and beer, but more importantly, it is also the time to thank veterans for their service to the country.
John Krasinski is just one actor out of many who took some time out of his busy pre-Memorial week and gives a special shout out to all the service men and women in the United States and the challenge to his millions of followers to complete The Murph Challenge.
The Murph Challenge is a very difficult exercise circuit that honors the US Navy SEAL LT. Michael Murphy that the design of the training, while on deployment. He was later killed in the battle and got the Medal of Honor posthumously for his bravery.

The actor and his trainer, Don Saladino, posted a message on Thursday, while wearing the Murph Challenge t-shirts.
“Memorial Day is coming up. Take a moment of the day Monday to say thank you to the brave men and women who laid down there life for all of us. Want a little something more? Take the #TheMurphChallenge!!” wrote Krasinski.
The training consists of a 1-mile run,100 pull ups, 200 pushups, 300 squats, and another 1-mile run. It is not mentioned, but a Murph workout is usually wearing a 20-pound vest to simulate how much equipment soldiers wear in the war.

Krasinski labeled two other Murph partners, co-starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and Chris Pratt, who previously completed the challenge.
Pratt documented his workout with a video, on 16 May.
“Thank you Lt Michael P Murphy and the millions of soldiers who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We live this life, because you captured you, gratitude and prayer for all of you,” he captioned the post.
Johnson and Krasinski completed the challenge last Memorial Day.
“An honour to be a drop of sweat and pain for #TheMurphChallenge. Thank you brother @johnkrasinski for the challenge. And especially, thank you for our men and women of OUR military past and present. And boundless gratitude to their families who endure it. The great day of the sweat, pain and a few miscounts in the #IronParadise,” “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle” star wrote.
