John de Mol’s business point of view, “pretty happy” over the past year, but at the same time said that he was still a long way to go with the channels under his company Talpa traps.
“About Veronica, I am satisfied, on Net5 I am not unhappy but also not happy, and about SBS, I am dissatisfied,” said The Mol on RTL Boulevard. “Anyone can see why: that is still not.”
In 2019, hopes The Mol to change with new programmes, including the programme of entertainment 6 Inside of Albert Verlinde and Jan Versteegh. “There are also a number of large new entertainment programs to which I hope, and also secretly a bit expected, that they more than do the programs that we last year at the same time have sent.”
Last week told The Mole to Jeroen Pauw that is currently a legal battle going on to Talpa-program The Voice to SBS to pick up. “I would like The Voice to bring to SBS. And or that can? That you must get to the 44 lawyers of Talpa and RTL that are there now are doing questions,” he said to Peacock.
‘Of course not 44 lawyers’
In RTL Boulevard was that story somewhat nuanced. “Jokingly, I have that number of 44, but that of course is a symbolic number; there are at no 44, the lawyers are on one hand to count. But this is the direction in which it goes. Unfortunately the relationship with RTL did not become what we would rather had seen: a close cooperation. And then it is not so crazy that you as a producer the successes rather on your own channel than on RTL.”
The Mol has lately been a number of Talpa-programs of RTL to SBS: the dance program Dance Dance Dance and zangprogramma It Takes 2.
