The former Connecticut sen Joe Lieberman says it’s time for China to stop forcing American companies to share their technology.
Former sen. Joe Lieberman praised President Trump’s China-strategy on “America’s Newsroom” Wednesday, according to the saying of the 2020 Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden flip can Flop on the issue.

“Well, I’ve seen a lot of flip-flops in my day,” said Lieberman, the former Independent senator from Connecticut. “I would say that you just low down on the scale. Here is what I mean. In the previous comment, [Biden] was the way of the Lord Pro-American … Yesterday, he said [in China] is a challenge, but not threat. So I guess in a way it makes it clear, to say what he tried earlier that seemed to almost not worry about it. Don’t worry about China. But we have to worry about China. It is a growing power. And we have to worry not only about the challenge it presents to us, however, that we ensure, if we may, that we are not in a kind of cold war with China, because that would hurt us, just like you.”
Lieberman said he has been assigned to assess the work with the Chinese company GTE, why it is regarded as a threat in the United States. He claimed it is safe for Americans doing business with China, but also warned not to steal the history of the country’s trade secrets.
“The telecommunications company ZTE, which, in a way, is a smaller version of what Huawei power [is] concerned that there is still resistance, however, business activity in the United States,” he said.

“So you asked me not to lobby, but to find out what is on the minds of the people, and what can we do to calm the people in the American government, American businesses, American consumers, and that it is safe ZTE to buy products. So there are a lot of problems here. To some it is about historical patterns of China, where there is some evidence that it happened. For example, some Chinese companies have stolen business secrets from American companies.”
Lieberman said Trump is the right approach with China by pressing the tariffs and the public, highlighting the increasing conflict between the two super-powers.
“I do [agree with Trump] is the substance [of its China strategy], is that these negotiations with the Chinese, who are described as trade or collective bargaining negotiations are really more than that,” he said.”If it is only rates, I think that we would have a deal.”
“But the President is education of a different kind of Problem and it is really important to increase that is the nature of the structural differences between our two countries,” Lieberman continued. “It is time for China-it is a big business now. You stop, if you steal our business secrets — stop forcing American companies to share if you do business in China, their technology with Chinese companies, and assure us that, if we buy Chinese products, you’re going to get you to compromise in several days of conflict between our two countries, America.”
