The son 2020 presidential candidate Joe Biden breaks his silence before his father takes the debate stage in Ohio; response and analysis of ‘Five.’

The former Vice-President Joe Biden insisted during the 2020 Democratic presidential primary debate on Tuesday evening that neither he nor his son Hunter have nothing “wrong” when it comes to the younger Biden’s past work in Ukraine.

Biden was asked why his son was able to keep up a lucrative role to serve on the Board of a Ukrainian gas company, Burisma Holdings, while he was running, U.S.-Ukraine policy as a former President Barack Obama with Vice-President.

“My son has done nothing wrong. I have said nothing wrong,” Biden. “I led the policy of the government of the United States, that was the root of corruption in Ukraine and that is what we focus on.”

Hunter Biden, defends earlier Tuesday in an interview with ABC’s “Good Morning America” for his role, he claims he did nothing improper, although he did not recognize that it was “poor judgment” that the Board of management of the company occur.

“I know I did nothing wrong. It was the bad judgment to be in the middle of something, this is a swamp, in many ways? Yes,” the younger Biden said on Tuesday morning.

He also confirms in the interview that if he had a different last name, had he not been appointed to the Board of Directors of Burisma.

In the debate Biden, his son, defending, said that his “statement speaks for itself”, and that, should ask, the focus on President Trump of Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 elections.

“Rudy Giuliani, the President and his thugs have said already, you are flat-lying out,” Biden.

The Ukraine controversy began when an Informant reported that the President met the Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, the start of an investigation into the Biden family business in the Ukraine—specifically, why Biden pressured former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko to fire, a top state Prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, who was examined by Burisma Holdings, where was Hunter on the board. The President, the request came after millions have been frozen in the U.S. military aid to Ukraine, something that critics cited as evidence of a quid-pro-quo arrangement.

The whistleblower report and the consequences from the copy of the highly controversial phone call between Trump and Zelensky in this summer triggered a formal impeachment inquiry in the house of representatives. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., although, said on Tuesday that the house would not vote, at this point in time, to formalize the impeachment.

Biden held on Tuesday that Trump’s efforts were simply because of his concern for his 2020 re-election chances, especially against Biden. Several polls have shown Biden as the Dems’ presidential frontrunner during the primary season, and some have suggested he would have an edge against Trump in a General election.

“What we need to do now is focus on Donald Trump,” Biden continued, a line he has used repeated, often on social media. “He wanted me to candidates not to the. He goes after me, because he knows, if I get the nomination, I’m going to beat him like a drum.”
