Jochem Myjer saw the fun not in of role as Zwarte Piet
Jochem Myjer is stopped with his role as Zwarte Piet in Sinterklaasjournaal because “the fun was off”.
“To the left of you is a black piet, but that turns out to be a security guard, and right. You think: if there’s nothing happening,” says the 39-year-old comedian on Friday evening in College Tour.
Together with Erik van Muiswinkel let Myjer at the beginning of this year to know and not return in the Sinterklaasjournaal. For Van Muiswinkel was the discussion around the prevention of black peter the reason. He found that the NTR leave of Zwarte Piet in its current form. Myjer has never mixed in the discussion.
“I’m a comedian and a comedian is not an Ajax-fan. I want to remain neutral”, says Myjer about the racismedebat in the program. “Personally, I have something like this: let’s both water in the wine and a roetveegpiet I find a brilliant solution.”
Myjer began six years ago at the Sinterklaasjournaal. “I think it is one of the best festivals and I have a few years of fantastic found, but that’s changed in recent years.”
The comedian called out last year after the attacks in Paris, in november, to the Sinterklaasaantocht “fun for children”. Myjer says that it is an emotional message was that he “may no longer as fast would share”. “It was a very weird situation that Paris in flames and here are thousands of children in the row in front of the Saint.” Myjer had for the first time in his career guilt.
“For the first time in my life I found it hard to see those two things separate.”
