Jessie James Decker gets slammed by fans for drinking while breastfeeding
Country singer Jessie James Decker posted a photo on Instagram of her breastfeeding her newborn son in with a glass of what appears to be wine. While some fans supported the mother of three, many slammed the star for her behaviour.
Fans are not happy with Jessie James Decker and her recent social media post.
On Thursday, the country star shared a picture of herself breastfeeding her four-month-old son, Forrest Bradley, while he had a glass of what appears to be wine.
“Cheers b—hes,” the 30-year-old singer captioned the Instagram photo.
In response to the picture, many users of social media hit Decker.
“Why post a pic of you drinking wine and breastfeeding?” an Instagram user questioned the stars. “So stupid to do this for your baby. Ever heard of pump and dump? This Is a good example for all young women who are breastfeeding?”
“Another woman, begging for attention, because they are an error on anything else,” remarked another social media user. “Sorry for that boy. Mother there can be no alcohol down long enough to feed her child.”
Meanwhile, others supported, the mother-of-three.
“People are giving me s–t for a drink and breastfeed… my pediatrician told me that it is ok just not to get hammered lol,” an Instagram user wrote.
According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, “alcohol goes through breastmilk for a baby, so it is best for women to avoid regular use of alcohol during breastfeeding.”
If a woman choose to have an alcoholic beverage, the association states that “it is the best thing to do, so just after she has nursed or expressed milk in place of for, and allow at least 2 hours per drink for the next breastfeeding or pumping session.”
This is not the first time Decker has posted of themselves breastfeeding on social media. In the last month, the star shared a video of herself feeding her baby when she was done with work.
“I was ready with my training, because [Woods] started to awaken from his nap, crying,” Decker said in the video. “It is super difficult to try to get a good workout with your baby trying to sleep and cry. But I did it, it was a 10-minute workout and I feel really good about it.”
The “Eric & Jessie’ star, who is also a mother of 4-year-old daughter Vivianne Rose, and 2-year-old son, Eric Jr., welcomed son Forrest with her husband, Eric Decker, on 31 March.
“We are so in love,” she captioned a photo of her baby on her chest, the announcement of the sweet news at the moment.
