Jeroen van Koningsbrugge was ‘just angry’ not nominated for the Golden Calf
Jeroen van Koningsbrugge is briefly angry when he is no Golden Calf-nomination received for his starring role in The Surprise.
“For that role, I have everything set aside”, says the 43-year-old actor, singer and presenter in Five Years Later.
“If I ever get a nomination for a role deserved, it was for this. In that film I played such a different character than I am. When I heard that I no Golden Calf nomination received, I was silent. I was just angry.”
“On that side I do not know myself,” he explains.
Friends of van Koningsbrugge said that this was because of envy. “I thought that was a little extreme. I think that it is because I have so many different things to do. Or maybe I’m not good enough in their eyes. No one ever said to me. I have decided there is not too much energy.”
The actor and presenter, late in the interview with Jeroen Pauw know that many people have only one side of him.
“Someone from the film fund would not have me for the starring role in the Surprise. They had to know themselves prefer to hang I the role went to play. Later it turned out that I only I Love Holland knew. Probably she had never seen an episode of the wire mesh, with legs seen.”
