Jeremy Corbyn is on Saturday re-elected as leader of the Labourpartij. Corbyn defeated his challenger Owen Smith, spacious numbers.
Corbyn got 61,8% of the votes, thus won the Labourleider with a wider margin than a year before, writes BBC News.
In total, half a million party members and registered supporters cast their vote. Corbyn won 313.209 votes against 193.229 for Smith.
Corbyn says that it is “honored” to feel to be re-elected after months of turmoil over leadership within Labour. With his winnings is there will be an end to the criticism of him within the party. According to Corbyn is the number of members of the party have tripled since the spring of this year.
