Jeffrey Epstein: it was a multi-millionaire financier, who hobnobbed with an elite circle of monarchs, presidents, prime ministers, and for the ultrawealthy — before his fall from grace following accusations of having sex with children and trafficking in human beings in the middle of the year 2000 — the accusations that hung over him, the proverbial dark cloud, until you have been reported to be a suicide early Saturday in his Manhattan jail cell.

Here’s a look at the most important events in Epstein’s life, crimes, and the controversies and the questions surrounding his shocking death.

THE EARLY LIFE OF

Jan. 20, 1953 – Epstein was born and raised in new york city.

1969 – 1971 – After graduating from secondary school, Epstein is taking the science classes at Manhattan’s Cooper Union, and writing at NYU’s Courant Institute, and, although he left without a degree, according to a 2002 New York magazine profile.

1973 – 1975 – as Described by some, to have him as a math genius, Epstein teaches math and physics at the Dalton School on Manhattan’s Upper East Side — without a degree — according to the journal.

Epstein has also attracted the attention of the Wall Street-affiliated parent of a student, who tells him to reach Ace’s Greenberg, a senior partner at Bear Stearns.

THE INCREASE IN AWARENESS OF THE

1976 – Epstein joins Bear Stearns as a junior assistant to a floor trader on the American Stock Exchange for a quick rise through the ranks and becoming a partner in 1980, according to New York magazine.

1981 – A year after making partner, he was as Bear Stearns, to his own money management business, which caters only to billionaires. His most notable client was a billionaire and a businessman, Les Wexner, according to the international monetary Fund. After Epstein’s death, CNBC reported Wexner, and his representatives have turned over the documents to the authorities for allegedly showing Epstein of the theft of the money.

How is Epstein accumulated his wealth, it is not clear, his net worth is inspired by the speculation, but it remains in the dark. Federal prosecutors noted that a mysterious hole in their financial records, in a hearing held in mid-July.

2000 – Epstein is investing millions in a Bear Stearns High-Grade Structured Credit Strategies Enhanced Leverage hedge fund, according to WLNY-TV. The fund, which was later to be regarded as a “ticking time bomb” that is a factor in the demise of Bear Stearns during the financial crisis of 2008, according to the station.

The ACCUSATIONS

In march 2005 , A 14-year-old girl and her parents to sign Epstein abused her in a mansion in Palm Beach, Fla. She says that she is a women of knowledge and classmate at Royal Palm Beach High School, had been taken from her home to give Epstein a massage in exchange for money.

In may 2006 , the Police department to report the probable-cause affidavit to charge Epstein and two of his assistants, and with several counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. The Palm Beach state attorney, Barry Krischer, rather than referring the case to a grand jury.

In June 2006 , The grand jury, after hearing only a prosecutor’s office, will give a charge of one count of solicitation of prostitution. The cost does not reflect that the man in question, and the others were minors at the time of the alleged incident.

In July 2006 , The FBI to open a federal investigation, named “Operation Leap-year.” List of documents of the potential crime as “child prostitution.”

A PLEA DEAL, THE SEX OFFENDER’S STATUS AS

June 2008 – Epstein’s lawyers to re-plea-negotiations, and on June 30, Epstein to appear-in Palm Beach County in the court room. He pleaded guilty to the state charges on one count of solicitation of prostitution and one count of solicitation of prostitution with a minor under the age of 18 years of age. Some of the victims were not notified of the plea deal.

Epstein was sentenced to 18 months in prison, to be followed by one year of community control, or house arrest. He is being treated like a convicted sex offender who must register twice a year in Florida.

July 7, 2009 – Epstein was released from the Palm Beach County stockade for five months, and early in the morning. During his sentence, Epstein was allowed to have a generous work-release for several days of the week, in which he is allowed to work from home.

IN THE CASE OF RE-OPEN

February 2019 – The Justice Department says it has opened an investigation into the federal prosecutors’ handling of Epstein’s plea deal. The department’s Office of Professional Responsibility intends to investigate whether or not professional misconduct has occurred in the highly publicized case.

U.s. District Judge Kenneth marra at the rules the federal prosecutors overseeing the case of violation of the law, and the hide of a minor alleged victims, and the existence of the plea deal, which protected Epstein from federal charges.

EPSTEIN’S ARREST AND THE DEATH OF

July 2, 2019 – A sealed indictment was filed, charging Epstein with the prostitution of minors, and conspiracy to commit prostitution of a minor.

July 6, 2019 – Epstein was arrested after the plane landed in Teterboro, N. J.

JEFFREY EPSTEIN’S DEATH: TIMELINE OF SEX ABUSE ACCUSATIONS, AND OTHER RELATED LEGAL ISSUES

July 8, 2019 – Epstein’s complaint was unsealed, and he has pleaded not guilty to his arrest.

July 18, 2019 – Epstein has been denied bail.

July 23rd, 2019 – Epstein is reported to have been found unconscious, with a neck injury, and in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center. It is unclear as to whether the injury was self-inflicted or the result of an assault by another inmate.

Aug. 10, 2019 – Epstein is found dead in his Manhattan prison cell. His cell mate was reportedly removed from the cell, hours before Epstein’s death. The guards had reportedly not been checked for Epstein, for a “couple of hours” even though such checks were required, about a half hour.

Aug. 11, 2019 , A research has been carried out at the Epstein. The chief medical examiner provides a statement, said the agency has additional information for the determination of Epstein’s cause of death.

Aug. 12, 2019 – Attorney General William Barr, noting “serious irregularities” at the facility that Epstein was being held. Barr vowed a full investigation by the FBI and the Justice Department’s inspector general.
