Jared Leto goes for the first time feature film directing
Jared Leto is his first feature film directing. The 45-year-old actor has signed a contract with movie company Paramount to the politiethriller 77 to directing.
The script for the film is written by David Matthews, who previously as a writer contributed to the popular series Narcos and Boardwalk Empire. That report Deadline.
The story of 77, takes place in a turbulent Los Angeles in 1974. Two agents working together to kidnapped Patty Hearst, daughter of a wealthy businessman, to free. During their research they discover large-scale corruption in the city and a violent conspiracy.
Leto directed previously a number of documentaries, such as Artifact and Great Wide Open. As an actor he won in 2013 and an Oscar for his role in Dallas Buyer’s Club. In 2015, it was Leto to be seen as The Joker in the movie Suicide Squad, and in October 2017, he will appear in Blade Runner 2049, a sequel to the classic science fiction movie from 1982.
