Jared Fogle, the former spokesperson of the Metro, a request has been submitted to the U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana on Tuesday.
Jared Fogle, the disgraced former Metro spokesman, who was sentenced to more than ten years in prison on child pornography and sex charges, is hitting back against the right that the lead on his case.
U. S. District Judge Tanya Walton Pratt, Fogle argued, there was no question, because they are daughters and not preside over his case, and should instead remove themselves, according to the Indy Star.
The court ordered Fogle more than 15 years in prison in November 2015, after he pleaded guilty, in accordance with a plea deal, one count each of traveling to engage in illicit sexual acts with a minor and distribution and receipt of child pornography. The sentence ended more than what both lawyer teams suggested at the time, with Fogle’s plea, the Indy Star said.
Now Fogle is on the claim that the connection between his case and Pratt’s family caused her to have “objective bias, and the subjective bias,” according to a motion he filed Tuesday in U. S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, the Indy Star said.
EX-SUBWAY SPOKESMAN JARED FOGLE WILL GET MORE THAN 15 YEARS IN PRISON
“It is the opinion of a ‘reasonable party’ the Judge, Tanya Walton Pratt has shown that they are affected adversely to the Defendant, Jared S. Fogle, and should be in facts and law, recuse himself from these proceedings,” the motion said.
Fogle is also to claim that Pratt should not have accepted the prosecution of the conspiracy charge against him, the Indy Star said. He made the same claim during his 2016 sentencing appeal, according to the outlet.
The former Metro rep admitted to paying for sex with underage girls, and received child pornography from Russell Taylor, a former executive director of The Jared Foundation, an organization that funds and awareness to combat obesity in children. Authorities say that Taylor secretly filmed 12 minors, while they were naked, changed, or participate in other activities with the help of hidden cameras.

According to the prosecutor, Fogle received photos or videos of eight of those minors, and some of the images are of girls as young as 12.
Fogle was a spokesman of the sandwich company after losing more than 200 pounds, while in college, in part by eating Subway sandwiches. His relationship with the chain was terminated in the midst of his legal battle.
