Baby Chanco, a cute 7-month old girl from Japan has stolen the internet’s heart with its incredibly full head of hair. Her Instagram account, with the label “her diary” now has more than 100,000 followers.
A Japanese girl whose impressive full head of hair caught international attention during the summer is now the face of a new Pantene ad and her mother is sharing the secret of her daughter and her lush locks.
Chanco was her model at the age of 1 year, after her mother, Mami Canoe, began with the posting of photos of her daughter, and her impressive locks on Instagram in May, allowing users of social media are baffled and want the same #hairgoals. The account, called baby Chanco “her diary,” has garnered more than 309,000 followers in just months.

“I am so surprised by the reaction, but also very proud of the praise from many countries,” Kano told People magazine on Tuesday, adding that the child is a “light-hearted smile and luxurious head of hair [that] does not match her age.”
How she keeps the child her so long, she said: “Brushing and let her live as she is.”

On Monday, Chanco star in Pantene’s new ad next to the Japanese tv announcer Sato Kondo, who has been praised in Japan for its natural gray hair.
“We went straight to her mother because Chanco the personality and special character matches our image for women that we want to support,” said P&G Japan hair care, associate brand director Yoshiaki Okura.
“We feel [Chanco] beautiful hair has a strong power which makes people who are positive forward,” Okura told the People. “And we also have the support of her mother’s positiveness to post the beautiful moments with Chanco.”
Chanco, who celebrated her first birthday on Dec. 23, was born in Japan, and “came out of the womb with a full head of hair,” Popsugar reported earlier.

Canoe told the People that on Tuesday, they’ll probably keep Chanco’s long hair.
“I prefer to keep her long hair, and in the future I want to try a number of new schemes, such as braids,” she said.
