Jan Linders quotes, as the last supermarket kooikonijn from the shelves
Supermarket chain Jan Linders is no longer the only supermarket that still kooikonijn sells. A Wednesday launched radio campaign of Awake Animals has a direct effect.
Awake Animal reports on its website that Wednesday morning had been consultations with Jan Linders, in which the chain has decided to stop the sale of Chinese kooikonijnenvlees. The radio campaign is withdrawn.
The current inventory is still formatted. It is hereby stated that the meat from China imported animals, which are in small cages and can hardly move. Jan Linders will in the future change to rabbit from your own country, with a Better Life quality mark.
Six supermarket chains are this year completely stopped selling rabbit. Albert Heijn and Jumbo, the two largest chains, sell the meat, but only from animals that have more living space than kooidieren would have.
