Jada Pinkett Smith revealed on her Facebook Watch talk show that they have a sex addiction problem when she was younger.

Jada Pinkett Smith felt suicidal when they first became successful in Hollywood.

“I had gotten to LA and gotten a certain level of success and realized that this is not the answer,” the actress revealed on her “Red Table talk” series (per Independent). “It was not what it was going to be all in order … [and] it actually got worse,” she said. “I was very suicidal, I had a complete emotional collapse.”

“It’s like when you just have no control over emotions, your thoughts, your feeling completely and utterly out of hand. I don’t even think that I understood at that moment what I went through,” she explained.

Pinkett Smith is sharing her experiences comes after she recently comforted comedian Pete Davidson, who posted what many interpreted as a suicidal cry for help on Instagram on Saturday.

The “Batman” star previously spoke about the importance of mental health after the suicide death of Anthony Bourdain and Kate Spade.

“One thing I’ve learned in my life over the years is that mental health is something that we should practice daily, not only when problems arise. We must care for our spirit and our spirit in the same way that we do our body. With the suicide of Kate and Anthony, it brought up feelings of when I was in such despair and had the same demise…often. In the past few years I have spent in the direction of my healing, many moons ago, I realized the mind and the heart can be very delicate without the foundation of a formidable spirit,” she wrote on Instagram in June.

She added: “What I eat, what I watch on TV, what music I listen, how I care for my body, my spiritual practice, what the people that I surround myself with the amount of stress I and so on…, or contributing to or worsening my mental health. Mental health is a daily practice for me. It is a practice of deep self-love.”
