Ivanka Trump said Tuesday that she supports a minimum wage, but not handouts for those who “are not ready to work.”
Trump made the statement in a Twitter post in response to a Yahoo News article that claimed Trump was a challenge, a minimum wage platform is pitched by U.S. Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, D-NY
“No I didn’t,” Trump wrote in response to the Yahoo headlines. “I am in favour of a minimum wage. I’m not, however, believe in a minimum guarantee for people ‘work-shy’, that was the question to me.”

Trump later wrote about their recent efforts to support the American worker.

Earlier Tuesday, Trump made a statement Monday remarks Ocasio had to respond Cortez, that Trump had only a “2. hand”, the understanding of the work.
“As a person who actually worked for the tips & hourly wages in my life, instead of learning about it 2.-hand, I can tell you that most of the people want to be paid enough to live,” Ocasio wrote Cortez. “A living wage is not a gift, it is a right. Workers are often paid far less than the value you generate.”
