Celebs slam photo of Ivanka Trump and son amid border crisis

Ivanka Trump posted a photo with her son, and received heavy criticism from social media. Many celebrities will respond to the message.

A few celebrities hit a photo Ivanka Trump shared on social media Sunday amid reports that the Office of Refugee Resettlement [ORR], a federal agency, lost track of 1,500 migrant children, in the last three months of 2017.

The first daughter shared a candid moment of her with her 2-year-old son, Theodore, with a caption stating, “My heart emoji]! #Sunday morning.”

Singer Halsey and other social media users and celebrities criticized Trump’s post for its timing in the middle of the report.

“I wonder what #the Sunday morning is like for the parents of 1,500 lost children of your father is responsible for his. F— your #Sundaymorning,” Halsey, 23, tweeted.

The pop star was not the only celebrity to take notice of Trump’s photo.

Comedian Patton Oswalt also critical of the post.

“It Is not just the best to cuddle with your little one – to know exactly where they are, safely in your arms? It is the best. It is the BEST. Right, Ivanka? Right?” Oswalt tweeted.

Comedian Jim Carrey also got in on the criticism by parts of a cartoon inspired by the report.

On Saturday, a report said ORR lost track of 1,500 children. Steve Wagner, an official of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, shall submit to the agency the fumble to a Senate subcommittee last month.
