Its sister company, Google close collaboration for diabetes research
Verily, one of the subsidiaries of Google-mother Alphabet, close a cooperation with the French pharmaceut Sanofi to diabetes patients to help.
The companies sticking some $ 500 million in a joint venture with the name Onduo, have they announced Monday.
The new company is focused on the development of equipment, software, and medications that diabetics can help their disease under control.
Verily established previously, a similar joint-venture with GlaxoSmithKline, called Galvani. That company is going to do research to combat diseases through bio-electronics.
Before, it was already known that Verily is working on a smart contact lens for diabetics, which should ensure patients have no blood and have to prick. Allegedly, the development thereof, however, jammed.
It is not clear whether Onduo will continue to work on the lens. It is Monday in the official announcement, nothing is said.
